Account terms

You sign in with Google and are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all content and activity under it. We cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to keep your account secure. Do not share, resell, or use your account to provide a competing service.

You must be able to enter a binding agreement where you live, and you must be a human. Accounts registered by bots or automated methods are not permitted.

You may not use the Services for any purpose described in our Acceptable Use Policy, and you may not permit anyone else to do so.

The service

BossyScript converts supported audio, video, and public links into editable text. You can edit the result and export it as TXT, DOCX, or PDF. Supported sources and technical limits may change as we improve the service.

You retain rights in the material you submit and in your transcript. You confirm that you have all permissions needed to upload, link to, transcribe, and use the material, and you grant us the limited permission needed to process it and provide the service.

Payment, refunds, and plan changes

If you use the Free plan, it is really free: we do not ask for a card and, like for paying customers, we do not sell your data. Free currently includes one successful transcription per day, up to 30 minutes long. Failed jobs do not consume this allowance.

For paid plans, we explain the price and billing period before you confirm. Unlimited is currently USD 10 per month or USD 100 per year as launch pricing (regular price USD 20 per month or USD 120 per year), and paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before renewal.

Orders are completed by an authorised online reseller, which is the seller of record and processes payment, payment confirmation, applicable taxes, refunds, and subscription billing. We do not receive or store payment-card details. We process refunds according to our Refund Policy.

Cancellation and termination

You can cancel a paid subscription at any time from Billing in your workspace or from the link in your purchase confirmation. Cancellation stops the next renewal and takes effect at the end of the current paid period; access continues until then and no further renewal is charged.

When your account is cancelled, your transcripts become inaccessible and are deleted within 30 days, as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account and refuse current or future use of the Services if you breach these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or when necessary to protect the service, users, or third parties. We reserve the right to refuse the use of the Services to anyone for any reason at any time.

Modifications to the service and prices

We may modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, any part of the Services with or without notice. We may also change our pricing. If we change the price for existing paying customers, we will give at least 30 days notice and notify you by email where required by law.

Uptime, security, and privacy

Your use of the Services is at your sole risk. We provide them on an “as is” and “as available” basis and do not offer a service-level agreement. We aim to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, processing of every source, or error-free transcripts.

We use access controls, private storage, encrypted transport, and security logging designed to protect your data. No system can be guaranteed completely secure.

When you use the Services, you entrust us with your data, and we take that trust seriously. You agree that we may process your data as described in our Privacy Policy and for no other purpose. We use providers for sign-in, payment fulfilment, transcription processing, database hosting, private file storage, infrastructure, and support.

We may preserve or share data if compelled by a legally binding order or proper request, or in limited circumstances in the event of an emergency request.

Copyright and content ownership

You give us a limited licence to use the material you submit in order to provide the Services to you, but we claim no ownership rights over it. All materials you submit remain yours.

We do not pre-screen content, but we may refuse or remove content in our sole discretion. We own all right, title, and interest in the Services, including their intellectual property rights. You may not duplicate, copy, resell, or reuse any portion of the Services without our express written permission.

Liability, changes, and contact

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BossyScript is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, including loss of profits, goodwill, use, or data, resulting from your use of or inability to use the Services. Our total liability for a claim related to the Services is limited to the amount you paid for BossyScript in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing here limits rights or liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Review transcripts before relying on them for legal, medical, financial, safety-critical, or other important decisions.
